Computed Tomography (CT) imaging, also known as "CAT scanning" (Computed Axial Tomography), was developed in the early to mid 1970s and is now available at over 30,000 locations throughout the world. CT is fast, patient friendly and has the unique ability to image a combination of soft tissue, bone, and blood vessels.
